I had my hopes up that I'd get a perfect Kana and not have to fret over wonky eyes or flawed makeup. Thankfully, the dolly gods were attentive and sent me her.

As soon as I opened the Amazon box, I fell in love. If you can only get one Juku Couture, get Kana. They're all superb dolls, but she's the best.
PACKAGING: Same as Jun and Hayley. Audrina's the only one that had the plastic hair strip.
HAIR: Kana's hair is deceptive in photos. It's actually THREE colors. The main color is a deep gorgeous purple. Then there are streaks of pale blue and black. Her hair is divided into three pigtails: two on the sides and one more like a normal ponytail. Unlike the other girls, she has THREE hair clips. Two pink flower-shaped ones have ribbon sprays in front of her pigtails. A large translucent pale pink butterfly-shaped clip is on the back of her head. That clip holds two thin black hair twists (the things you see above her head) and two lavender hair twists. All four twists are about knee-length.
SKIN: Kana's skin is a warm caramel shade. She, Audrina and Hayley really make Jun look bad when it comes to skin. Poor pale Jun has an almost gray tone to her skin. It's ivory-ish, but the other girls make her look unhealthy. Kana has a spray of orange freckles like Hayley. They mostly blend into her skin. I'm not sure why they didn't use a light brown instead of orange, but they disappear rather than look bad.
MAKEUP: She has the most dramatic makeup of the four girls and it works well for her. There's a little black heart under her left eye.

I started tugging layers of clothing off. Her purse is easily the cutest of the four. The corset is attached to the pink suspenders and is adorable. I love the pearl/heart belt. She does have a lot of clothing versatility, even with just removing some layers and replacing others.

I love the color of the purple shirt. It's a bit bulky under the other layers, but the color is so awesome that she has to wear it.
I'm not overly fond of her shoes. I tried the Momoko motorcycle boots and Docs on her, but nothing really looked right with the cute socks.

So she ended up in basically her entire stock minus the pink stockings.
I did make one discovery: their hands are indeed removable. (Feet, too, I think.) I don't like popping parts off my dolls (except for Type 2 Pullips), so I don't intend to do this often, but it does help with pieces like Kana and Jun's arm warmers.

The four girls. (Stupid flash on the box.) Kana is easily my fave, followed by either Jun or Hayley depending on the day. I love both about equally. Poor Audrina comes in last. If they'd made her eyes darker, she'd be a stronger contender.
I'm looking forward to ordering the four fashion packs once I get paid. I've already got them in my Amazon cart! Heh. Checked Target today and they still don't have any JC stuff, so I'm going with Amazon again.
I really hope this doll line does well. They've got a lot of potential!

I imagine the clothes would work on Dals. Bratz clothes do, so there's gotta be some compatibility.
